June 7, 2015 Springfield, MA - Mark Fidrych inducted in the New England Baseball Hall of Fame
Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 12:49PM The New England Baseball Hall of Fame covers six states: Massachusetts, Conneticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Rhode Island. This is a special year because it is their inaugural induction class, and Mark Fidrych is being inducted in their inaugural class.

I experienced "The Summer of the Bird" (1976) in Windsor, Ontario Canada just across the Detroit River from Detroit. It was ELECTRIC!!. Mark's pitching infused the entire area with excitement and hope for better days for our Tigers. I met Mark during a charity basketball game in Windsor during the winter of 1977. I still have the autograph.
I saw him pitch in 1979 . He is still one of the most beloved Tigers in Windsor, Canada as well as in Detroit. We mourned his loss but we celebrate his loss. The foundation is great!! So is the Baseball Hall of Fame. Mark Fidrych is forever loved in Windsor, Ontario Canada. I was only 11 when he came on the scene but I loved every mute of his career. A True Tiger Forever
